Geography 30
Geographic Perspectives on
Sustainability and Human-Environment Systems
Spring Semester, 2008
For their final assignment, each section of Geography 30 was required to come up with a management plan to maintain four lakes in the Wisconsin Northern Highlands Lake District.
The project consisted of a role play game in which each group member played the part of a different stakeholder with a unique vision of what the future of the lakes should look like.
The challenge was to develop a plan that actively integrated all group members in such a way that there were no "free riders", or people who did not participate in the project.
The resulting action management plans were ambitious but plausible, creative, sustainable and exciting! Under each of the section tabs above, you can find more information about each group's vision and plan.
